![]() Romney is a serious serial liar. He doesn't just exaggerate or shade for politics sake - he outright lies. He lies about clear facts. He lies about the truth.
Again: this isn't the "both sides do it" pandering and making oneself look good, or only telling one side of the story. This is deliberate ignoring of apparent and clear fact, and deliberately lying about it to make a better story. The scary thing is, Romney appears to have no problem at all with lying. And that has nothing at all to do with President Obama. Or Ron Paul. Or Buddy Roemer.

I was addressing something else: outside of the MSNBC incident, having nothing to do with it, Genuine Risk pointed out something else that has been noted this campaign by multiple observers: Romney has a known and observed problem with lying. He says things that are not just political, or exaggeration, or making one side look good. He lies about readily apparent facts. Deliberately, repeatedly. BTW, "Obama's economy" has had 28 straight months of job growth, GDP growth, unemployment drop, Wall Street record gains. Yeah - Bush spent us from surplus into massive deficit.

It gets even worse when you calculate the number of people actually not working, as opposed to recently unemployed. When the person hits their 25th month without a job, they magically fall off the records and statistics. It's not all Bush's fault. This guy added 5 trillion in new debt. That is more than all the previous presidents, (at least from Clinton back to Washington - not sure about George W.) combined. The lying is not going to get this guy a second term. He is the worst president we have ever had, including GW Bush, Carter, Nixon, Lyndon Johnson, and Herbert Hoover. Last edited by joeydb : 06-22-2012 at 12:55 PM. Reason: punctuation |

it's a nice selling point tho, isn't it? somehow, obama can claim his policies are doing great-look at the numbers...but when numbers aren't worth bragging on, well that's not his fault. good news-obama takes credit...bad news, it's back to being bushes fault. it's a can't lose situation.
