NYRA is gone. Their biggest critic is being voted Governor of the state today. Couldn't happen soon enough.

Be careful what you wish for...it could be and most likely will be a lot worst for good racing in N.Y. after next year...thank the next (unfortunately) Governor of the "formerly Empire State". If you think NYRA is that bad, tell me which racing jurisdiction is BETTER with the daily nine race cards? Year round!

Belmont is my favorite track but they should never have the Breeders Cup there again. It is too cold and that place is a wind machine. It is absolutely miserable to sit there all day in November.

I like a three track rotation but throw in an oddball track in the 4th year.

For Example:
2006 - Churchill
2007 - Monmouth
2008 - Santa Anita
2009 - Churchill - tax reasons
2010 - Belmont
2011 - Arlington
2012 - Churchill - tax resons
2013 - Santa Anita

Something like this would be good.

Uh Oh is right ! It would seem to me that Santa Anita would be in line for 2008 after its been at Belmont, CD, Monmouth . The euros should love it and the sprint should be even more impossible to 'cap . As somone else pointed out CD and Belmont would likely be in line for 2009-10. The NYRA mess should be settled by then, hopefully.
