Like it or not, this could make the state, nyra, and the voters settle this mess. The state is so much one of the industrys primary players.

Well they Cup needs to be at Churchill every three years at minimum because the Breeders Cup gets a tax incentive from the State of KY if they hold it at Churchill once every 3 years. So 2007 and 2008 or 2009 is taken. I dont think this will be cleared up by 2008 so I think 2010 will be when it returns to Belmont.

NYRA is gone. Their biggest critic is being voted Governor of the state today. Couldn't happen soon enough.

Belmont is my favorite track but they should never have the Breeders Cup there again. It is too cold and that place is a wind machine. It is absolutely miserable to sit there all day in November.

I like a three track rotation but throw in an oddball track in the 4th year.
For Example: 2006 - Churchill 2007 - Monmouth 2008 - Santa Anita 2009 - Churchill - tax reasons 2010 - Belmont 2011 - Arlington 2012 - Churchill - tax resons 2013 - Santa Anita Something like this would be good. |
