This isn't 20 years ago. Why should the salaries be the same? She's doing more with less people. Why is this lie being perpetrated about the First Lady since just after her husband was elected? As I said, leave the First Ladies alone.

This first lady has taken on a lot with regards to childhood obesity and is looking to create legislation to prevent same. That is different than a literacy campaign or stamping out drugs (epic failure).

LadyBird Johnson got legislation passed, as did Nancy Reagan, Rosalyn Carter, Barbara Bush ... You do realize they can't pass legislation by fiat? That our Representatives and Senators have to vote on it? Then the President has to sign it into law? And there are differences between laws and recommendations supported by Congress? And there there isn't really anything inherently evil in First Lady causes?

Again - this First Lady has a whole lot of hate flung her way, and it's completely out of line with how other first ladies have been treated. She has done wonderful work with fighting childhood obesity and helping Veterans. Attacking that is beyond ridiculous. The First Ladies are not their husbands. They don't deserve the political attacks thrown at their husbands to bleed onto them.
