Very solid work for a horse not bred to be a freakish 2yo. His success at 2 in spite of the breeding indicates quality. He had (and has still) a very smooth efficient stride. The pedigree is very deep with stamina yet he shows high quality speed, presumably from the Distorted Humor on top.

Arch had high quality speed and I'll Have Another's dam won her only start wire-to-wire.

As for juvenile success, 8 of the 12 horses in the first two generations won at least one race at 2. 5 of those 8 were stakes performers. 4 of those 5 were stakes winners. 3 of those 4 were graded stakes winners. 2 of those 3 were Grade or Group 1 winners. 1 of those 2 was a Eclipse champion 2yo.

Rollo, what do you mean exactly by the bolded part? Twelve horses in the first two generations?? Shouldn't that number be six?

Yeah, I misworded it. I was only referring to the 2nd and 3rd generations, leaving out the first. I got confused because I was focusing on Arch at the beginning of my post. Sorry.
