Does anyone have any idea where Shirreffs is running Mr. Commons or Morning Line? Mr. Commons has worked steadily since the Kilroe, and I almost expected him to be in the Inglewood. I'd love to hear that he's going to be in the Woodford Reserve.

Morning Line has worked about 15 times since January but has yet to run.

I would presume that Morning Line will show up in the Mervyn LeRoy at Hollywood on Derby Day. It was a 4-horse field last year (Sidney's Candy lost to Crown Of Thorns at odds-on), so a similar small group would be an ideal starting point. The winner of the Santana Mile at Santa Anita is headed to Lone Star.

Mr. Commons is not nominated to the Woodford Reserve. The American Handicap on Memorial weekend has been reworked as a prep for the Shoemaker Mile, so I suppose he'll stay at home for those.
