For now, Pletcher is keeping options open for as long as possible to have Castellano in case anything goes wrong with Gemologist. Was going over the open assignments with Darren Rogers, and there hasn't been any rider names rumored in association with El Padrino.

I know Johnny V. is taken in this case, but has Javier "officially" replaced Velazquez as the rider of choice for Pletcher?

I'd see if Bejarano was open.

Would make some sense given that Castellano booker Matt Muzikar handles her and has 'cozyed' so nicely to the barn. But she's on Mark Valeski.
