He was paying respect to the late GREAT Costy Caras, former track announcer for 30 years. He passed in 2006.

Racing fans at Charles Town will remember his signature " Eat ease now-ah, ah-poost-time. " and other patented phrases "rrranging up alongside", and the finish to the nightcap was a perfect setup for "AH-COMING ON !" as no one else ever pronounced.
Collmus is no Mirahmadi but I thought it was a nice gesture.
