I've done great betting on first-time starters at the smaller tracks. If there is a horse that I liked at a 2 year old sale and he is running aginst nobody at a place like Chales Town or Remington, those are actually some of my favorite bets. They don't come up that often but I may find one every week or so.

Incidentally, the horse yesterday was actually making his 2nd career start. I had made a small bet on him first-time out but thought he may need the race beacuse it's tough to win first-time out going long. So I bet him right back 2nd time out which was last night.
