I would think the Derby winner Giacomo likes Churchill Downs therefore he was bound to move up a little.

I was speaking in regards to Bro D. I was happy to see both BD and Giacomo run well. I really never expected Lava Man to do anything if he didnt have the lead.

Thors Echo ran well for O'neill, so I cant imagine they treated the horses any differently. If they both threw in **** races you could make a case for O'neill being a skunk. I just think Lava Man is a cut below those other 2 mentioned. Hes a game horse on the lead, and on the lead in California is all you need to be to win races.

When Lava Man beat Brother Derek at Santa Anita last month, that was not BD's first race back. It was his second race back. He ran 4th at Del Mar in the El Cajon on Sep 2nd. Then he ran a fairly distant 2nd to LM at Santa anita on Oct 7th.

He was prime in his cycle today, he fired a big race. I thought he still needed his last before he would run a big race. Eventhough he didnt win today I thought he moved up and showed some heart. I bet him to win, I was happy with the effort. By far for me this was the best hes ran since the Derby. I think he will be an impact 4 year old

LM has won from off the pace a couple of times this year. In the Sunshine Million, he came from 7 lengths back and won.
