it looked like the jock was holding on for dear life....he was moving well, that's for sure . i wouldn't be betting against him any time soon

I wonder if 3 weeks is enough time to recover of this monsterous effort, to make the Wood at AQ.

Or does he opt for the Illinois Derby?

He only has $103k in graded earnings, so they better not get too cute with finding a spot for him. I hope passing on the 500K rebel to avoid a van ride and bigger field was worth it.

I'm also worried about the need to get more graded earnings.

That said, a lot of positive angles seem to be in play her, imo

Derby is third off layoff, love classic pedigree, positive previous cd race, late start to 3 year old racing, trainer has won derby previously and the form seems to have translated well into the 3 year old season so far.

I have used liberally in the first two future pools (with cc and ur) so I'm hoping he continues to progress.
