![]() I shouldn't get the "serious offenders" penalty because I didn't know I'd been caught all those other times. Wow, that is rich.

![]() The interesting thing about Tom Amoss is that he's actually lost his edge over the last year or two.
This guy is the rare trainer who is also an excellent TV analyst. He's not only sharp and opinionated on TV...but he looks like he's been doing it all his life. However...I've always felt this guy took an edge and was certainly no saint. He had too much magic with claiming sprinters for too long. 862-300-147-111 (34% wins) $2.32 ROI Sorry ... but you don't yield a 16% profit from over 800 starters sending out a parade of short priced horses and getting bet on name ... without having an edge. |

![]() I'm not sure he even has his edge anymore.
Amoss did win at over 30% in 2011 from over 500 starters ... but it was truly a statistically terrible year for his standards when you look at the telling stuff that really matters. Perhaps the bad test was the result of a little sloppyness in the barn or whatever and the substance doesn't matter. I don't know how any of these guys get their edge...but it's pretty obvious when they do have it. |
