This is pretty cool... THE biggest star in Macau racing, Viva Pronto (for anyone who follows yes another Viva meaning you know the owner...) is coming for the HOng Kong Macau Trophy.
I have no idea how the De Silva's Crown Witness will do against him. Looks like a nice field. Another Macau runner who is pretty damned good, Clown Master, will be coming along with a couple of others who I'm sorry to say I don't know. Other news... Finally. Sleep Well who is the former AOB-trained Achill Island and who has now had 45 pretty bad starts in HK (he won 4) is finally retired. Very happy they're doing right by him cause he hasn't seemed interested in racing for years now. Sad stuff. He was a nice horse at one point. Anyway hope he gets to go somewhere nice where he can breathe. Happy retirement.

Coetzee, Fallon and Williams permitted to ride in the Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Derby 10/03/2012 Permission has been granted for the following overseas jockeys to ride in the Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Derby (HK Group 1) on Sunday, 18 March 2012. Felix Coetzee (Real Specialist) Kieren Fallon (Beauty Lead) Craig Williams (Military Attack) Meanwhile Majestic Falcon won the Trophy... Well I was surprised!
