Perhaps it's the wrong analogy but would you stand idly by while a petty thief stole the purse of the old lady next to you? Of course not! Even though it isn't necessarily any of your business and even though you are not directly affected, it is your moral responsibility to look out for the greater good.

Look, it may not be popular, but certainly one can't argue that it was probably done for the greater good of the game.
