There were repeated requests. Read through the entire thread.
So now answer me, how is Clinton (six years ago) in any way relevant to current circumstances?
Is this another Repumplican "smoke-screen" to divert attention from their current actions?
If so, it won't work this time.
Chickens come home to roost.
I think it was just filler fact thrown in to flesh out the story....I don't see anything germain to today, other than the guy died and here's part of his story.

Well then, I hope that the last person that throws a handfull of dirt on his coffin wishes him RIP.
A life well spent that needed a pardon.
OK with me.
I don't sit in the seat of judgement.
I also didn't start this diversionary thread.

This section of the website is titled "Off Topic General". It is not titled "The Iraq Section".

That is hilarious that you would call this thread a "diversion". Just because a thread is not about Iraq, it doesn't make the thread a "diversion".

If anything, the constant talk about Iraq is a diversion. You want everyone to focus on Iraq so that they won't focus on how good the economy is. Unempoloyment is incredibly low right now. The Dow is at an all-time high. I guess things aren't so bad.

Rupert,
Now I finally get it!
This thread wasn't about Braswell at all!
It was about "how good the economy is"...for the top few.
And "unemployment is incredibly low right now"...if you want to work for Walmart or McDonalds..or other minimum wage (not raised in years) job.
The Dow? Geesh. If you know anything about the market, the Dow isn't the marker. Watch for the Decemer or January crash when China starts calling in their debt.
"Things aren't so bad"???
Tell me the current deficit and which countries fund it.
Define "victory" in Iraq and a sensible exit strategy.
Also explain how the US is "winning" the war on terror while we continue to create more terrorists.
Also, I'd like to know your thoughts about Afghanistan and whether the current agricultural crop that is up 60% will help win the "war on drugs", and if the Taliban is back in control of most of the country.
Where is Osama bi Laden?

Enough questions from me. You might need to do a search on your beloved Drudge Reports, or ask the commander of the spacecraft that is trying to hitch a ride behind the comet.
Watch out for the cool aid. Rumor has it that Jim Jones mixes a nasty ****tail.
But if you want to drink up, far be it from me to stop you.

The Dow is not the only index that is way up. The S&P is up about 10% this year. The Nasdaq is up about 6%. The Nasdaq has gone up about 95% the last 4 years. That's not too bad. The most recent poll shows that 51% of Americans approve the job that President Bush is doing on the economy. I'm sure that people are negatively influenced by Iraq too. If it wasn't for Iraq, I bet that Bush' approval rating on the economy would be about 60%.

I highly doubt that the market will go way down early next year. All the guys that I follow in terms of "market-timing" are predicting the opposite. They expect the market to go way up next year.

I don't know what the answer is abot Iraq. If we leave right now, it would be a huge victory for the terrorists. They will think that we are weak and that all they have to do is battle us and we will give up. If we stay, that doesn't do us much good either if things continue to go the way they are going right now. I don't know what the answer is. We need to come up with a graceful way of exiting.

I don't know where Bin Laden is but I am not confident that a democrat would have any more success in finding him than Bush. Hopefully we will get him soon.

Even if more terrorists are being created, it does not mean that we are not winning the war on terror. If we have disrupted the major terror groups to the point that they have trouble communicating and have trouble getting money and aren't capable of launching a major terror strike, than an argument could be made that we are winning.

What are your solutions? How would you win the war on terror? You are quick to criticize our government but I haven't heard you come up with any solutions.

Rupert,
Your words:
"What are your solutions? How would you win the war on terror? You are quick to criticize our government but I haven't heard you come up with any solutions."

Honestly, do you really expect me to put them up for free?
Take Haggard's "boyfriend's" fee per hour ($200) and multiply by 100.
Then we'll talk.
Good consultants aren't cheap.
PM me if you can afford it.
