Basically what happened was Clinton's brother-in-law, Hugh Rodham, basically told Braswell that if he paid him $200,000 that he would get Clinton to pardon him. Braswell paid Rodham $200,000 and Clinton pardoned him.

Now that's the kind of guy we need in the White House. We need a guy who will release you from jail if you pay his brother $200,000. LOL.

In all seriousness, Bush may have made some big mistakes since he took office. But I would still rather have him in office than a guy(Clinton) that is so dishonest that he will pardon you if you pay his brother $200,000. That is scary to have a guy in office that is that dishonest and unethical.
Rupert,
Could you please provide a link to your source of this story?

I'd also be interested in your opinion concerning the upcoming trials for these war criminals. Coming soon...

The article is all over the internet. You can do a search for it. The links are long and I don't know how to paste them.

With regard to war criminals, I think that war criminals should be punished. With regard to your article about Rumsfeld and Gonzales possibly being war criminals, I had a good laugh. That is hilarious. There's about as good a chance of Rumsfeld being tried as a war criminal as there is of me flying to the moon.

I found out what Braswell was in jail for. He was basically a con-man. He sold all kinds of products through mail orders. He sold an anti-balding product that was fake. He showed phony before and after pictures in his advertisement. The phony pictures made it appear that his product would make you grow hair. He also sold phony anti-aging potions.

Rupert,
The story you opened with isn't on google.
So, here's how you do it.
Go to the site where you found the story.
Right click your mouse and some options will drop down.
Left click on "copy".
Go back to this thread and right click your mouse.
Left click on "paste".

Put on your "moon suit". The only way our great country will regain credibility with the rest of the nations of the world is to apply the same precedents we established at Nuremburg, and to apply the same rules of the Military Commissions Act of 2006 to those that presented them.
You might be interested in reading some long past history that seems again to be repeating itself. It's in the Book of Esther, Chapter 7, verses 9,10.

I have an easy way for you to find the story. Go to drudgereport.com, scroll down towards the lower part of the right side of the page and there is a link there where you can do a wire search("search wires"). Type in Braswell and then click on "search wires" and you will find 10 articles.

Thanks Rupert,
I'll try that link.
If you get a chance, read Esther 7:9,10.

My hope is that Clinton's story is over. There are other ones going on now.
Some stories keep repeating themselves.
Haman/Rumsfeld, Vietnam/Iraq, Foley/Haggard..on and on...like an endless tape loop.

Rupert, if you're going to post these allegations as fact, it's your responsibility to back them up with articles-- it's not ours to go chase down your right-wing propaganda for you.

Holy toledo I'm tired of "So-and-so said and did such-and-such but I'm too lazy/tired/technically inept to actually post any links." If you can post on a message board, you can figure out how to post a link. It ain't brain surgery.

And why don't I see you railing against all the other dictators we currently aren't using our military to overthrow? Right-wingers need to retire the "Hussein was a tyrant" thing-- the country is in far more of a mess now, with less electricty, less running water, more violence, more oppression of women and more religious zealots than it was in 2002. How is this a victory for us? Iran should send Bush a g*dd*mn thank-you card for doing their work for them.

My point is, you have a sort of weird obsession with rehashing the Clinton years, when there are all kinds of big issues going on now, like Iraq, the ballooning deficit, the looming energy crisis, global warming, North Korea and the bomb, etc., etc. Now, I can understand to some extent your Clinton thing-- he's a very charismatic man, and the opposite of love is not hate; it's indifference, so I'll leave you alone to sort out your feelings about ol' Slick Willie. But honestly, learn to post links to the stuff you're venting about and maybe, just maybe, consider letting go stuff prior to oh, 2000?

Rupert, I have no idea whether Kerry would have had us out of Iraq by now. I doubt it; Bush's hubris got us into a horrific mess and many, many Americans are paying the price for it. But I bet torture wouldn't have been legalized and habeus corpus would still be the law of the land. I also would wager the soldiers would be better funded and supplied because Halliburton would be out on its ass.

You can also post links by copying the address in your browser and then pasting it right into the body of the email. I do it that way because I'm a mac user and I'll give up my single-button mouse after you pry it from my cold, dead hand!

This is not right-wing propaganda. It's in all the mainstream newspapers. If you want to read about it, go to drudgereport.com and do a wire search on Braswell.

What's funny about you is if there is a negative story about a democrat, your initial assumption is that the story is not true and it's just some right-wing propaganda. If there's a negative story about a republican, you assume that it is absolutely true and you don't question the source. It's hilarious.

It was especially funny how you ate up all the democratic propaganda about that 9/11 movie. You actually thought that the whole movie was fictional since the democrats complained that some of the specific scenes did not happen. You didn't consider that this is true with every single docu-drama ever made. Like I said, it's hilarious that you will believe everything the dems tell you, but nothing the repubs say.

I didn't find it. Post the link as per instructions above please^^^.
Makes things a lot easier. And GR's request was reasonable.
Is the Drudge report right wing propaganda?

Rupert, if you're not posting links, you're not backing up your stories. Post the links. It's your job to back up your stories; not mine to back them up for you. As I recall, I gave you back-up links to my assertion that the 9/11 movie deliberately invented things that didn't happen.

Here's a link on your Mr. Drudge.

At some point, I'm hopeful you'll be willing to admit you only like right-wing sources. Look, it's okay; it's a free country (kind of), just be honest about not wanting to read anything that might contradict your worldview. Though I'd recommend it-- I really enjoy reading conservatives Andrew Sullivan and John Cole's blogs to balance out my... actually... I don't read any liberal blogs... hmm... I used to read Huffington, but I got kind of bored.

Anyone got any good liberal blogs? Suggestions? Daily Kos annoys me, so not that one, please.
