While I never have liked Hansen's Derby chances at all, I think if you ever considered him a legit contender beforehand, it would be shortsighted to eliminate him off of this one start.

If you are realistic you have to be concerned that the horse is simply not the type of horse that wins Derby's. Of course I did not say he was eliminated from contention but the idea that because a horses has the earnings to go he has "qualified" is the shortsighted part. The guy basically has him penciled in and after last week (and really after all his races where he basically wants to run off) they should be hoping that he should be in the gate, not expecting.

And I don't know why that race should be thrown out or discounted. It wasnt very good.
