Little premature with the white flag. I forgot how $30 dollar horses at these little tracks blow these bets up. The last horse off the ticket cost me the entire pool.

Charles Town in the mid 80's I backwheeled a 35-1 in the exacta leaving three horses off the ticket.
99-1 wins the race and no one has a winning ticket out of the 10k pool.
Minutes after the results were made official Costy announces the exacta payoffs...9-all pays $72...all-6 pays $17.
It was the most memorable occurance I've ever seen at a racetrack. People were crawling on the floor and dumping trash cans looking for live tickets. I found a few myself in addition to the six I held.
I still ponder what could've been and regret budgeting my bankroll to have enough cash to buy a steak and cheese when I got home.
