Sigh I guess not Nebraska's Republican Gov. Dave Heineman, whose state is a key part of the Keystone XL oil pipeline debate, expressed his disappointment with the final decision the Obama administration made yesterday to kill the project. "I want to say I'm very disappointed," Heineman told POLITICO. "I think the president made a mistake." http://www.politico.com/politico44/2...ke-111473.html

There is plenty more out there, over the past year, about Heineman's opposition. His opposition is why there was supposed to be an alternative plan avoiding the aquafier, which TransCanada did not yet submit, thus why State and Obama have so far not approved Keystone XL. Quote:

so I guess the "cover" is now gone...
"I fully expect we could get it done certainly in the early September, August time frame," the governor told Fox News on Thursday. "I would send the letter back to the president of the United States saying we approve it and if he were decisive, he could turn around and approve it shortly thereafter, well before the November election."

Barack Obama vows to do 'whatever it takes' to grow economy
AFP Jan 7, 2012, 05.08PM IST Tags:white house|united states|Labor department WASHINGTON: US President Barack Obama promised on Saturday to do "whatever it takes" to maintain growth in the US economy as he announced a summit with business leaders dedicated to job creation at home. "This year, I'm going to keep doing whatever it takes to move this economy forward and to make sure that middle class families regain the security they've lost over the past decade," Obama said in his weekly radio and Internet address. ...there must be fine print somewhere that add the caveat 'as long as it doesn't irritate some potential voters'. i know somewhere along the line he said he would do what was necessary, even if it meant only one term. just like all other politicians, when his lips move he's lying.
