The highlight for me is at about 5:25 in the video. Richard Mandella seems less than enthused to be told by Baffert that "You want to win it fair."

His response to Brad Free's questions were pretty funny also. When he's done with the horses, politics might be an easy transition based on those responses.

Good stuff. Mandella acted with class unlike Baffert in that video. Its funny how Mandella says those calls Baffert made to the stewards should be recorded.

Could anyone tell what happened to Centralinteligence in the Malibu? From the head on it looked like he was spooked by something he saw.

Seemed like he didn't like being in a little tight on the inside and Rosario said afterwards that he has a really sensitive mouth. Garcia did a good job race riding Rothko.

I love that Trevor said Mr. Commons "could not have been more impressive." Yeah, a huge pace setup, a perfect trip and never being more than 10 feet off the rail was incredible.

I only saw it once but I thought the 6 came in on him and he was taken up losing any chance. Rothko was right behind them and kind of got lucky getting by and it only cost him a step or two.

I wonder if today's win by The Factor helps or hurts Caleb's Posse's chances for the 3yo Eclipse.

The Factor was part of the caboose in the latter's BC Dirt Mile. However, he also blasted Caleb's Posse in the two-turn Grade 2 Rebel by over 6 lengths.

In addition, The Factor has a seasonal profile very similar to Caleb's Posse in that he won a pair of one-turn Grade 1s (one vs. elders) while adding a couple of Grade 2 wins for a total of 4. As they are both sort of "unique" candidates, they might cancel each other out.

Of course, there's a chance that the vast majority of voters have already made up their mind before this race.

Just another run off that can be had unless he gets his own way

The Factor doesn't run off, he just has no stamina.

I guess his 9-5-0-0 race record doesn't suggest he's an all-or-nothing type.

Pardon me Mo'am, but the Strub Series brings out the worst in you...

:55 second mark

Chantal: "Twirling Candy touched my hind end while I was in motion..."

I'd volunteer for that duty.

Im glad he posted the clip. I had never watched it before. IMO Baffert does nothing wrong at all. I took one thing from the clip, even at the track Bob is always around beautiful woman.

How did you feel about Baffert's comments on the Beyer The Factor got? In case you missed it he said "Best performance by a three year old all year and The Factor gets a 106 beyer. Aqueduct would have given him 116."

Excusing the best performance by a 3 year old part, because no one could really think that. I wonder just how much Baffert knows about figure making. My guess would be zero. Never stops people here from talking about them, so I guess Baffert fits right in.

I had the figure at Aqueduct at 118 but i am always a bit higher then Baffert when extrapilating Sa fig's to Aqueduct.. I wonder if Baffert was using the inner as a point of reference or the Main? LOL What an stupid thing to say. Talk up your horse all you want, its a business we get it but enough of the BS about figs already. Does he really think Rothko ran a 113?

I think you should start making Mo Figures. I'd buy 'em.

I tend to agree. He demolished a good group of horses. He went sub 1.20, the runner up is super lightly raced and could have easily ran an improved big fig number. That horse has improved every race since I crushed him at Toga in his maiden breaker vs that slug from Arlington who came in with a big fig synthetic second.

Since you agree maybe you can explain why the number should be higher. Saying what the time was isn't enough. A lot of factors go into making the figure and I'd like to see you break it down.

Believe it or not they don't just look at who ran second and make a guess from there.

Ill pass on that. Your asking leading questions and Im answering. I dont have to break down anything. I said I would tend to agree. The Factor is special when hes right, maybe even better when he gets things his own way. I thought he was over the top coming in. I was wrong.
