i have to say that i think the tax cut should expire. they call it a tax cut, but it's cutting social security, which is already in a mess.

Today Republican House Speaker John Boehner stands firm.

Half an hour later, Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell publicly throws Boehner to the wolves, and says Boehner better just pass the damn thing as Reid presented it to him.

Politicos are speculating that McConnell is creating this public Republican brawl trying to get Boehner out as Speaker, so he can get Eric Cantor in. But no doubt, the party is being hurt terribly in public opinion due to the infighting. Boehner has been attacked by the conservative Wall Street Journal and Karl Rove. He continues fealty to the destructive Tea Party.

Yeah. Even your own party threw you in the Tea Pot to drown all alone today. You'll notice that nobody - not even your own Senators - came back to Washington during your grandstanding.

Yeah, just vote that puppy "passed" tomorrow morning, and try to watch out for Cantor coming at your back.

Statement by Speaker Boehner on Efforts to Enact a Full-Year Extension of Payroll Tax Relief

Washington (Dec 22)

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) today issued the following statement:

“Senator Reid and I have reached an agreement that will ensure taxes do not increase for working families on January 1 while ensuring that a complex new reporting burden is not unintentionally imposed on small business job creators. Under the terms of our agreement, a new bill will be approved by the House that reflects the bipartisan agreement in the Senate along with new language that allows job creators to process and withhold payroll taxation under the same accounting structure that is currently in place. The Senate will join the House in immediately appointing conferees, with instructions to reach agreement in the weeks ahead on a full-year payroll tax extension. We will ask the House and Senate to approve this agreement by unanimous consent before Christmas. I thank our Members – particularly those who have remained here in the Capitol with the holidays approaching – for their efforts to enact a full-year extension of the payroll tax cut for working families.”

Hey, keep up that, "I'm a radical anarchist" eliminate-the-government stuff. It's a good, easy default for those unable to do anything constructive or follow along. Just have to keep repeating that one-note irresponsibility answer for everything.

Now they get to actively block tax increases on millionaires, the most popular polling item in the country, right after they've narrowed their presidential field and during election season. And this am the Tea Party recalcitrants took to the twitterverse to whine and complain, revealing themselves as duplicitous weaklings who could have objected, but went with unanimous voice consent out of the other sides of their mouths.

Yeah because they're being so constructive.

You're just dumb. Can't fix it.

You can change within the governmental system we have, or pick your way. Good luck with that whole, "overthrow and eliminate" thing. Especially since you don't have the military.
