Yup. This is real. Not a joke, nor something just happening off in Washington people don't really have to pay any attention to.

it's working for us. it won't happen but i really wish there was a way to prevent the house from reconvening to accept the senate bill.

i almost feel sorry for boehner. outside of obama, he has the hardest job in washington.

he made a bad call on this. he's constantly watching his back for the inevitable challange to his leadership and he's probably guaranteed it now.

he has to fold. take a bullet. at least if he had taken a stand against the right and accepted the senate bill earlier he could have avoided the damage to his own party.

They will reconvene Friday morning, and Boehner will simply allow a vote with no advice to his caucus. It will pass. Boehner will frame it as a Christmas Holiday Gift From the Republican Party To America.

But he's tearing the GOP brand apart, and the Dems are already making the ads for the 2012 election cycle about "Republicans raise taxes"

The truth shall prevail. Spending cuts (HUGE) is the answer rather than spending to prevent bankruptcy!

Cut the Gov. by 50% and see how far trillions go to solving our problems. We/ve tried everything else and it doesn't work!
