Harry Morgan's very first appearance on Mash? It was not as Col. Potter. There's an earlier series episode called "The General Flipped At Dawn". Harry Morgan plays looney General Bartford Hamilton Steele. Who visits the 4077TH, and decide that he wants to move the entire camp 5 miles down the road. Hawkeye and Henry are charged with mutiny during this visit, and Hawkeye in a very funny scene impersonates a reporter lol. It's a very funny show, and Morgan was hysterical in it. I guess they kept him in mind when it came to casting Col. Potter, which he played very well also.

Mash is my favorite show, and i believe can be argued the best show in the history of television. RIP Harry. Thanks for all the hours of great enjoyment.
