Gloria is almost as far left as me but the woman is a Republican fundraiser so I doubt that has anything to do with the situation. Look, Clinton was a womanizer so this is hardly new behavior on the political front but Cain's handling of the accusations has been laughable.

Cain is under attack and while I disagree with his politics, I think it's important that we get the facts before rushing to judgement. Hopefully this will happen and folks will have a clear view of things before the nomination.

The facts: Cain's former employer let Cain out of his employment contract 6 months before it was up, at the same time paying $80,000 to two female employees who accused Cain of sexual harassment at work.

yep, 35k to one, 45k to another. that's not unfounded, when you see there were settlements.
but, it's de rigueur to blame the victim in these cases. she either 'made it up' or had it coming, or maybe she egged it on, and then went for money... there's certainly never anything to the charges. besides, if women stayed home where they belonged, men couldn't misbehave. damned uppity women.

Cain has gone into full-on attack mode today, he started a website, where a campaign contributor, who does "private investigative work", declares he used his machine that can detect nervousness on the sound of the televised press conference from the second accuser - and determined Herman is innocent!

The hastily-put-together blog appears to be primarily dedicated to spreading damaging stories about the women who have come forward, especially Sharon Bialek, who has publicly accused Cain of demanding sex in exchange for help finding her work.

It's simply amazing how unrepentent blind narcissists - like those that, during a sexual harassment scandal, call the former Speaker of the House "Princess Nancy" on television - think that if they just keep denyin', these peasants will stop pointing out the truth and inconveniencing them.
