Gamblers wagered $41.3 million on slot machines at Presque Isle Downs & Casino during the week of Oct. 24-30.
The amount returned to gamblers was $37.4 million, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported.
The gross revenue -- the amount of gamblers' losses -- was nearly $3.1 million, after subtracting $907,221 in promotional free plays. Of that, nearly $1.7 million went to the state and nearly $1.4 million to the casino.
During a comparable week in 2010, Oct. 25-31, gamblers wagered $40.2 million.
The record for slots wagers in one week was $57 million, set July 5-11, 2010.
