I'm not sure which horse the Sheiks think is better... my gut tells me that they're not sure, because if they were, I really think they'd run them both in the BCC. IF they did that and Bernie lost, it'd be bad news bears, but it would be one hell of a race if they did. ![]()

![]() I am not exactly sure why a lot of people seem to think that Discreet Cat would not be able to handle 10f.
His dam, Pretty Discreet, was a G1 winner going 10f. His broodmare sire, Private Account, was a multiple G1 winner going 10f. I suppose this perception is because he is by Forestry - who was a bit of a tweener - but Forestry was out of a Pleasant Colony mare, and Pleasant Colony sired predominantly routers. Of course, you never really know what a horse will do going 10f until he does it, but when you add the way he looked going 9f to his pedigree (particulary the more important dam-side) it seems like he could be very effective going 10f. |
