BTW, when he wasn't drinking, Jack E. Lee was the best harness announcer ever. Lines like "He can see them all!" and "Innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Front!" were classic!

The one that comes to mind for me is "Jacky Mo is just a passenger". From his Freehold days.

I seem to recall a pacer named Cigar Store Injun, or something like that, from those days.

Stan did a great job of explaining harness racing to us Thoroughbred fans. At one time, the harness racing TV show was on WOR-TV on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights (before cable TV was prominent).

I thought he was always at his best with a young Dave Johnson as his broadcasting partner.

He did a great interview with trainer Bob Farrington in the mid-1970's and made popular the tale of the wonder horse, Rambling Willie..

I miss "This week in Harness" off of espn,I still have a few on vhs.
Stan was a great voice for harness.He will be missed greatly.
