Not really, because everyone plays him that way and there will be many combinations in the pool like that. I say play him to win or leave him off, I'll go for leave him off. Nice horse, made alot of money...

i believe he still is the, "current active leading runner by lifetime earnings" with about 4.3 million in on track earnings.
although i haven't really dug into the details this year so far, this was true at 3-1-6. if he isn't still the current leader he is close to the lead.

He is THe Man!! I'm very excited to see him this weekend. He's always at peak later in the year, but never say die IS his motto. I mean, have you *ever* seen that horse throw in the towel? Never. NEVERRRRR!

drifty luvs del mar and has missed by a length to pleasently perfect a year ago, to a very nice horse, and last year to borrego who he lost to by a head , i mean it was so close it was gut wrenching, to borrego a horse that shows up half the time and the other times had nothing, what a day for him to decide to start running for once . that shoulda been drifts pacific classic, just that borrego decides to put 2 nice efforts back to back then throw a clunker in the classic. drift is the better horse then borrego and his 2 grade 1's

all of drifts 2nds have been very close losses and to the some of the top horses in the divsion some of these were jockey error on top of it- pat day hawthorne gold cup 2 years ago, never even bothered to look and see freeforinternet coming up on him and vision was kida blocked by outside horse by the time he seen him it was to late to ask drift to pick it up, plus day has him 4 wide in the first turn, i think pat thought he had it in the bag and took his leisure with him
