No workouts, no races since September, training at the fairgrounds in Alameda instead of Santa Anita, waiting to make decision until the day of pre-entries, and entered in a sale in November...
Smiling Tiger has got to be out of the Sprint. |

To be honest, I didn't think either horse would accomplish much as they did this year, especially after their 4yo debuts. I certainly thought the news of season/career ending problems would have come much sooner for both. |

Flashpoint retired now.
They better move some horses from the Dirt Mile into the Sprint. Did I read Trappe Shot is going for the longer race? Also, given the right pace scenario, I think Jackson Bend might be a better fit in the Sprint. |

He got beat by a few lengths to the best BSF at a mile plus all year. Now its cut back time? He is a small horse and not exactly the fanciest of blood lines, I would assume his market value as a stallion could materialize if he won the Classic, he has a decent shot why not hope Uncle Mo throws a klinker?

By the way, maybe Jackson Bend doesn't need it, but certainly it's time for you to cut back... |

He is definitely out. Talked to racing manager for owners last night.
