![]() No.
I wonder that too. I thought for certain he was going to be standing there. I think Winstar does a great job building their stallions. Obviously Ashford has greater resources, but I'd have sent him to Winstar over Ashford. |

![]() His two-turn BC Juvie win was light years better than his Champagne win.
I think he's a pure distance horse -- I would certainly play against him in the BC dirt mile this year. I don't think he's naturally fast enough to prefer a one-turn mile compared to a two-turn route. Even if you look at his Moss Pace Fig line in the King's Bishop -- true sprinter/milers don't run weird lines like that. Sure -- if he gets an easy uncontested lead in the mud over a wet-track going a one-turn mile - he will look like a miler. |

And I disagree with that last part. He didn't look like a miler to me the other day, and he never has. |

![]() I know you like to be a contrarian but he looked like a miler the other day.
Naturally very fast horses -- and horses who don't rate very kindly are the ones who struggle most making the step up to a two-turn route. The day he won his debut by 14 at Saratoga -- there was a speed bias that day and JRV basically had to gun him and he was ridden to make a length lead. He was ridden a bit in the King's Bishop to keep from falling off the pace. I don't think he has as much raw speed as a lot of people seem to think. |

![]() Are you implying Winstar has more money, more mares and success than Ashford/Coolmore?
If you are, I would like to get some of that stuff you are smoking. |

![]() Both are well suited to give any major prospect a solid start.

![]() Yes, I agree. I did say I'd rather send him to Winstar.
