Question about futures/Vegas

Have your friend go to the Wynn. John Avello, the race and sports book director, will add your horse to their list even if it is not there right now. He will take action on anything horse related.

You can bet futures on the Derby starting in August in a few select books out there. Ask for a number on the horse over at Wynn and if you don't like it, don't bet it. Bargain a bit if it isn't on the board. If you aren't putting a lot down, you are more likely to get a price you want.

I agree to check out Wynn. I made a couple futures bets there last year the night before the Breeders Cup. I took a $10 flyer on such strong derby contenders like Music School and Half ours.

Make sure your horse is nominated to run in the Derby before you place the bet.

I may be wrong, but I think most of the Vegas Derby futures start shortly after the BC
