You may be right, but still, why would Lezcano put her inside like that to bottle her up? With a horse like her, shouldn't he have kept her in the clear even if wide? Hungry Island ran big, but if she was clear, it is hard to say that she would not have had better run than Hungry Island to the wire. She obviously didn't care for going up the rail.

It was unfortunate, but I'm not sure what Lezcano could really do. I'm not a believer of parking a horse wide--especially on turf--just to ensure a clean trip. Ramon deserves the assist, but keep in mind that Hungry Island was dead last behind an absolutely glacial pace. I agree Winter Memories didn't care for the going, but if a horse in that race was going to prove better than her, it was obviously going to be Hungry Island. . . not that today proved anything.

i dont think she diddnt care for it..she was made very uncomfortable early and the trip went downhill from there.i do blame lezcano abit..and think if clear she would have beat the winner..
