I heard there is now dialogue to change this obsure rule, Snow Fairy is now looking at the Irish Champion stakes against males, not ideal but according to Dunlop, her campaign will depend on the ground. Not an ideal start to her 2011 campaign, where she was supposed to race on the Dubai World Cup card but was sidelined due to injury. Have a feeling she will be at the BC at Churchill this fall, where the turf course is usually good and firm.

She's had a fairly light campaign this year, is the BC up next? I would be shocked if it isn't.

Yes, they will make sure that she came out of the race in good shape first, the calendar certainly fits, BC in 5 weeks and then onto HK Cathay Pacific Intl day in December to end the year.

Wasn't sure where exactly to put this since she's on the Japan (wasn't she ****ing brilliant?!) and the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International race day threads but figured it belongs here.
Bad news... At least the good news is she WILL return next year. http://www.edunlop.com/news.php?id=264 http://www.racingpost.com/news/horse...injury/954514/ Snow Fairy withdrawn from Hong Kong It is with great disappointment that we report SNOW FAIRY suffered an injury this morning at Sha Tin racecourse whilst doing a routine canter. We have therefore withdrawn her from The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Vase and she will return to England when she is fit to travel. Although this is a major disappointment for us we are enormously proud of what she achieved in Japan earlier this month and we will advise everyone of her progress, as soon as she has returned home. |
