Dr. Bramlage said that he pulled up lame, but that there were no outward signs of the cause and that he was being taken back to his stall for more thorough examination. Keeping fingers crossed.

Poor guy. My heart just sank hearing this but I suppose it could be sounding so much worse right about now so I'm grateful to hear this (although I wish I had heard he went back home and got a treat or something instead). |

Well it says he walked into the van and is on his way back to Woodbine so I'll take that as good news.

Anyone seen an official retirement notice?
(I don't do FB although I'm now addicted to checking this page). It sounds like it, doesn't it? Rahy's Attorney wishes to thank all his fans for their love and support over his racing career. Who would have thought the little homebred, Ontario sired, horse from Spencerville would touch the lives of so many around the world!! A true Champion!! 15 minutes ago |

Sure does. I suppose we'll get the details whenever a formal announcement comes. I wonder if his trouble came during the race or the gallop out? He certainly finished well -- didn't look like he was in trouble.

Yeah I wonder too...
Aaah well I was waiting to see someone else say it and this is good enough, I think. Time to add him to the retirement thread. ![]() Thanks for the memories. ![]() http://horse-canada.com/14354/thoroughblog/thanks-2/ edit - http://www.drf.com/news/woodbine-rah...retired-injury http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-raci...torney-retired Last edited by my miss storm cat : 08-16-2011 at 07:02 PM. |
