John's Call Stakes
Bearpath, the favorite in the John's Call stakes today at Saratoga stumbled and tossed the jock, and the horse appeared to be injured afterwards. He was vanned off.
It was sickening to watch that horse limp around the track. It happened in the first turn, and Bearpath continued to run well past the club house turn. We were seated just inside the 1/8 pole and it was very evident that he was injured. I've been looking for info about him, but it just didn't look good. Poor horse running away in fear and most probably pain. 1st Sanagas 2nd Center Divider 3rd Bold Hawk
