ANother nice race in the VA Derby. Banned is better than I thought, Street Game not as good as I thought although the horses that were 10th, 11th and 12th early ran 1,2,4 late. I still can't believe Street Game went off the favorite.

Pretty heady move by Alex Solis to go by Banned early down the backstretch. Considering Air Support has more the look of a one-run type, you'd think he would have waited longer to make his move. Got the jump on Banned, who had ever chance to get by him down the lane. Street Game didn't get any favors being hounded by the CA-bred.

With the top two and as well as Wilcox Inn accounting for most of the 3yo turf stakes this year, the BC Juvenile Turf has ended up fairly productive. It's gonna be hilarious to see what heights Barry Irwin is envisioning for Pluck when he returns.
