I figured instead of responding (and yes I did cry during the movie) I'd turn the tables now and give you all the chance to humiliate yourselves and tell me some guilty pleasure.

For the record I don't usualy like SciFi type things but yeah I did love LOTR as well (although I hated the books as a kid).

Okay Snape tears are all dry now (well not like any of you care so I didn't ruin anything, right? Anyway if you all had read the book you'd know) so it's your turn.

Anyone?

Harry Potter though... please understand that even a film snob can fall under the spell so to speak.

I have kids and so read the first 2 but then the 3rd one... that is a wonderful book / film.

Have been hooked since and now if you don't have anything nice to say leave me alone cause my favorite person dies in this one.

Thanks Mathie for making me feel a little less alone.
I was only joking with you of course!

I've never read or seen either series, but was shocked with how much I liked the Lord of the Rings since I didn't think it would be "my thing." I tend to convince myself that if the rest of the world is rushing out to see/read something, I'm going to hate it. Obviously I don't belong to the Opra Book Club. It's kind of like horseys - with the exception of Rachel, my all-time favorites are usually the less respected i.e. Sightseek, Saint Liam....Jazil

I always cry when Dracula gets the stake.

But I cheer when Peter Cushing gets choked.

I'm a huge fan of fantasy and sci-fy, and any show or movie that creates characters that I find myself caring about. Shows like Charmed, Forever Knight, Carnivale, Dark Angel, Xena, Dead Like Me, Supernatural and of course...Buffy and Angel. Movies such as Serenity, Blade Runner, Innocent Blood, Wildflowers, and even Dusk to Dawn.

i just want to say that 63 minute hand drawn watercolor animation is seriously underrated in 2011.
