The way I understand it, it seems entirely possible that there will be 5 to 10 thousand people splitting 250k.

It's pretty lame.

If you are fat and over indulgent I hope you lose your ass.

I'm not sure if you are trying to insult me, or make a comment about the contest.

Being an astute observer of human behavior, I'll go with the former.

I'll bite. Why would you want me to lose my ass? Is it too hairy for your tastes?

I agree. I'll be surprised if they do it a 2nd year.

Do you remember the free BC Pick-7 they ran for a few years? The free entry forms were in USA Today and several other big newspapers. There was a separate prize money pool for 7 correct all the way down to 4 correct, if I remember correctly. If no one got 7 correct, that prize pool was added to the 6-correct prize money. I know I got a couple of checks in the mail for 4 correct in the amount of something like $2.52 for the Alysheba/Personal Ensign year. (that was the best I could do from my 30-odd entries--damn that Easy Goer!) The checks were cool, though, with the BC logo on them.

I'm still trying to figure out what this Richard guy is talking about.

I think he might work for the BC marketing department.

It would be funnier if these marketing people worked for free. As far as I know, they pay them with checks!

Why not just give prison inmates a chance? They couldn't come up with dumber sh!t.
