![]() I have to agree with him on one thing, Isn't he Perfect had no buisness in that race. For that, his quote makes sence.

![]() How do you propose keeping a horse like him out in the future? If we're going to exclude horses from running in stakes because they don't figure, our stakes are going to be even more watered down than they are now.

![]() His past performances where reason enough. If NYRA wasn't so worried about filling the race, then common sence by the stewards should have played some sort of a part. Horses like him do not belong in the big dance, not even close.

I'm not saying Isn't He Perfect was a contender, but I know Irwin has started horses in Classics in the past that have had no chance. See Dr Greenfield in the 2001 Belmont, who held up the start and then never reached contention. I'll ask again, how should the excluding process go? |

NYRA denied the entry of Nicky's Boy in the Wood last year. She had no business in the race and NYRA responded. A horse like Rick's Natural Star should never have been allowed to run in the BC Turf in 1996. I don't see how this is even remotely close to that. The horse was 2 lengths behind the eventual winner earlier in the year and 6 lengths behind the runner up. Was he almost impossible to use...sure. But impossible to the point of what you and Irwin are suggesting...no way. Especially considering Irwin has started similar looking horses in Classics in the past. |

![]() The horse didn't belong in a Million dollar race, maybe in some other stakes race around the country, but not in this one. That's where I stand on the horse. As it turned out, he looked the part too.

![]() Far more unlikely winners run in stakes races all over the country every single week. Frankly, his pps were not significantly worse than the winner's. I guess he should have been excluded as well. The winner lost to Congo on the Inner Track....at least Isn't He Perfect won a race or two on the Inner.
