Because yes, what horse racing needs is more public accusations of cheating, stealing, and endangering the lives of horses and men.

It is ironic, however, that you think it would be better if Johnny punched him. Professionalism over civility, eh?
So sorry you are unable to detect sarcasm.

So sorry you are unable to detect sarcasm.
Does it get lonely up on your soapbox? Irwin made a stupid remark with a microphone jammed in his face minutes after winning the biggest race in this country. It is not even an issue at this point except on message boards where people bring it up 5 weeks after the fact. When did you forsake the notion that these guys are human beings? Human beings who say what they feel at times whether it's "right" or "for the good of the game." Many more ills have been performed by people who never appeared in the public nor made statements for which you could vilify them. Those people are the ones who have contributed to racing's lack of popularity and the notion that those involved are cheaters and thieves who endanger the lives of humans and equines.

As far as detecting sarcasm, you didn't write what I referenced in a sarcastic tone.

And Johnny make a very serious and stupid public accusation at a press conference. Yeah, he was unprofessional.

You think that's a "soap box", good for you.

I think if you watch the head on, what Velazquez is suggesting is certainly plausible.

Unless you're a racing fan, you probably have no idea about all of this, so the fake outrage over protecting the sport is just that....fake.

Oh, bullshit. My "outrage" isn't outrage, it's simply a comment that I think Johnny unprofessional for bringing it up at the press conference. He should have waited until after Wednesday when they all meet with the stewards.

If he isn't happy with what happens there, then he can bitch and moan publicly.

No, that's not "fake".

Yeah, it's fake. You mentioned over and over that you think the sport doesn't need this. Need what?

The only people who are even aware of this are racing fans. It's not like the talk at the water coolers in offices across America was what Velazquez said.

As racing fans we see worse than this all the time. I'm glad he said something.

I'm going to say something that's not witty but give myself a trophy smiley.

I'm just wondering who else you can cast judgment on this afternoon. Then who else you can selectively reply to when they're pointing out your lunacy.

I'm casting the same type of "judgements" the rest of you are regarding Johnny V's. statements in the press.

You think it's "lunacy" to me to call him unprofessional for publicly accusing another jock of purposely endangering the lives of the jocks and horses, you stick with that

This makes sense, the guy feels that another jock endangered his life but he should keep his mouth shut to prevent the public from having a bad image of the game? Just sweep it under the rug, great solution!

Jump to wrong conclusions much?

Who is sweeping it under the rug? Not me. He's meeting with the stewards Wednesday. Yeah, he should have kept his mouth shut before that.

Do you read your own posts? You clearly stated that JV was wrong for making a public accusation as the game does not need more public accusations of these things. That is a suggestion that it should be swept under the rug.

JV has every right to make a public statement when he believes that someone intentionally put his, and other jocks, lives in danger in a race. And no, I don't jump to wrong conclusions, though I believe that you delivered this insult in desperation since you have nothing of substance to state in your defense. Then again, you have proven that your logic is so twisted that it is difficult for anyone to make assumptions regarding any of the utter nonsense you continuously spew on this website daily.

It's clear you don't read my posts. Or you simply are unable to understand them.

I said Johnny was unprofessional to make the public accusation of another jock deliberately threatening the lives of the jocks and horses at the press conference. They are meeting with the stewards Wednesday. He should have waited until then to publicly discuss the results.

No "sweeping under the rug" involved.

You want to talk "utter nonsense spewed on this website", we only have to read what some of you say when you are talking drugs and magic juice and horse health problems.

Who is WE?

so there are no chemists or horsemen who have created 3rd, 4th, 5th generation performance enhancing drugs that cannot be tested for and apply them to their race horses?

and you can certainly tell everyone that Uncle Mo is fine, without looking at the horse, vet exams, blood results? because it's all black and white

It is clear that you can't read and continuously shift issues, deflect and insult others in a vain attempt to dig yourself out of the latest hole you have dug yourself in. I put your own words in front of you and you still can't admit to that you clearly stated. Whatever state licensed you should be ashamed of themselves.

I will make this as simple as possible for you to understand. There was nothing unprofessional about what JV stated, he had every right to state it and should be praised for doing so, not critcized by a jackass such as yourself. If you can't understand that, I cannot help you. Just like a liberal jackass to make the victim the one in the wrong.

Hole? LOL - I made one clear statement. I think it was unprofessional of Johnny V. to accuse Rajiv in the press, before the stewards meeting Wednesday.

You would know about shifting, deflecting and insulting. You've given a laughable demonstration of your skills at it over the past several pages.
