If Velasquez thinks this is what happened than he should have beat the crap out of him on Saturday. I think he has a right to go public with it if asked. Why is this unprofessional? I would want people to look at and form their own opinions not just the stewards. If incidents like this became more public it would prevent people from giving mounts to riders who use such horrible judgement.

So let's hear more from Barry Irwin. It should all be public on the NBC telecast of the Belmont. That's great for racing.

How are these two item related? What does Irwin being a blowhard have to do with this. Velasquez was asked on a conference call on Sunday morning and gave his opinion about the Belmont Stakes. He was not giving his opinion on the state of the game. I'm for more transparency in the sport, not hiding things from the Public. I thought for sure with your political lean, more transparency would be better.

Wow. Seriously? Because they are both speaking publicly about the sport, and making public allegations of illegal activity.

You're on quite a roll this afternoon. It just keeps getting better.

Yeah. I say Johnny V. was unprofessional for publicly accusing Rajiv of deliberately threatening the lives of the horses and jocks on that track at the press conference.

And you say that's a weird opinion?

Because things like that NEVER happen? You go out of your way to speak like an insider all the time yet seem to be completely unaware of a lot of the things that happen with any regularity. You don't need to bet on thoroughbred racing to know that jocks go after each other, tighten up openings, put horses in spots all the time.

Enough of the stuff about how guys need to hold back what they want to say because they need to maintain some high standard. It is ironic, however, that you think it would be better if Johnny punched him. Professionalism over civility, eh?

Please, judging from her politics posts, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

And just think she's allowed to treat animals. No wonder why this country is in the toilet.

So an owner in the press publicly accusing multiple trainers of cheating is just a blowhard, but a jock in the press publicly accusing another jock of endangering lives and throwing a race is okay with you and "professional"?

One is the Derby winning owner on a national telecast, the other is a conference call the day after the event to the racing press. You are correct as usual they are the same.
