Smiling Tiger's form has been pretty spotty since his huge effort in last year's Malibu. He made no impression on octogenarian Euroears in the Palos Verdes, broke like crap and just edged uber-bridesmaid Captain Cherokee in the San Carlos, whipped cream puffs at Oaklawn, then was nowhere Derby Day. From day one he's been campaigned aggressively and one has to think off his latest performance that he's finally come undone.
That said, if he is toast, Freddy will come on here and say that it was the loss to Twirling Candy that did him in.
