This might be a stupid question, but I'll throw it out there anyway.

Does the synthetic tracks hold heat (meaning are they hotter to be on) more than the conventional dirt tracks? I remember the old astro turf football fields and they held the heat making it unbearable on extremely hot days.

Beyond holding heat.

I walked on it this morning and you can feel the temperature change instantly.

Stings the horses feet it is so hot.

Thanks for the answer Tom, I kind of figured that, but I didn't realize it was so extreme.
