Loon? Because I defended a retired horse? I said if people have a problem with a particular horse and they post in threads about them and want to criticize and complain about said horse, and people take exception to that, I am a loon?

Once again: no one is complaining about or criticizing the horse. You're empathizing with people who write blog comments addressed to animals and that's what people are making fun of. Get a sense of humor.
