![]() Exactly. If they don't want to go west then there's really not a race for her in NY until the Lake George. Monmouth has a Grade III in late June but that filly doesn't need to be running in G3 races. Its nice to see good, veteran trainers like Bond, Hushion, and Toner have 3 strong performances today.

![]() With the decline of the American Oaks, instead of putting $500K into a turf race for older males a week after the Manhattan and only a few weeks before the UN, it probably would have made more sense for Colonial to move up the Virginia Oaks to mid-June and bump the purse to $500K. Probably would have drawn a nice field.
