Shakleford. Clearly the most underrated 3 yo this year. Congrats to all who have stuck it out.

If AK breaks cleanly, we would be looking at a triple crown try in 3 weeks. Just got shuffled too far back. What a shame. I have to give credit to Shackleford, looked washed out and then puts in a huge run like that. Nice horse.

Thats my uncles horse....we had to miss it live, and it kills me now but I am sooooo happy. For looking so terrible pre-race, he ran like a game SOB. I am sooooo happy!!!!!!!!!

Congrats, Root! He ran huge, a real game horse. Do you know what the chances are they will run in the Belmont? That is 3 huge efforts in a row by him.

I only saw replay once, but it looked like Mucho Macho Man had a perfect trip and had nothing in the tank.

While we made a decent chunk of money betting Shackleford across the board, I was so wishing Animal Kingdom would win. I was so wishingnot because I bet all of my wager money on him to win - I just wanted the TC to get more hype. I really feel bad that I didn't give this horse some respect early on. I'm not going to discard a horse because they never raced on dirt until they prove they can't.

Shackleford is one handsome hunk of horse flesh - reminds me of one the knights of yore would have ridden in their jousts. All but wrote him off thinking he blew 50% of his energy going postal before being loaded in the gate. But, he was making his way back to the barn as quickly as he could.

Both very nice horses - The Shack and AK.
