Wow - Black Caviar and Hay List are both simply outstanding. And the rest of the field are not slouches! The best male and best female sprinter in the world, head to head repeatedly.
Frankly - I think he kept Black Caviar in the center, away from moving over and challenging Hay List directly on the rail coming up behind him, as (first, she didn't need a challenge to respond) but secondly to help avoid breaking Hay List's heart with another lost challenge. I anthropomorphize, I'm sure  - it was nice to see the two jocks exchange a high-five after the winning post.I can't believe Black Caviar paid $2.80 to win - the public can't believe she can keep it up, and bet Hay List more heavily this time.
