Dear Steve : I might have forgotten my Looking at Lucky betting adventure from the rail last year, but thanks to the television replays talking about the rail position, you just cannot escape the reality of what the rail entails.
Now, ArchArchArch figures to pull back at the start and settle for position to avoid the "Lucky Squeeze", but it is a shocker to see Satish go to the rail in this group knowing that he is giving several lengths to the competition just to swing wide for any type of stretch clearance.
Loved the brief conversation where Satish asked Andy Beyer about Master of Hounds on the air during the Churchill blackout. Somehow, you just knew that Satish was slipping this European import into the ticket. Andy Beyer raised an interesting point when he said that you do not win the Kentucky Derby unless you plan your course to the race and it felt that the Master of Hounds' connections are just guessing in the Derby.
