Yeah, but realize that that tenuous influence is what allowed us to cross that border and not be internationally heaped with an attack of war today. It's not black and white, it's relative. I'm well awares of what Pakistan is, but that's exactly why we've been "allies" with nearly everyone in the middle east at one time or another - we need a toehold there.
