I don't know what is more mindboggling to me, the fact that they turned down $24 dollars an hour or that they were making close to $29 dollars per hour.

They actually would have made $24 until the contract expired on 2/1/12. After that they'd probably be in the $20 range. That's still a ridiculously good pay rate for that job.

Yeah and now they may make zero an hour because it appears the deal to keep the track open is dead.

The Arlington people start at $22 a hour, and I know one of them is making close to $38 as she has been there forever.

And yet they can be replaced by machines which are not only are better but don't insult you or try to cheat you out of money.

Not sure what union they are a part of but it is lunacy. Seniority rules also so a bunch of people show up and then some of the good tellers get sent home.

Some tellers are so old you sometimes think they are dead when walking up to the window.

Doesn't necessarily affect me that much since I am usually in same locations with somewhat the same tellers, but I'm guessing new people to the track think it is hilarious
